ULMA Packaging UK targets Irish medical sector with MedTech Innovation Expo Ireland debut

We are making our first appearance at MedTech Innovation Expo Ireland as part of our growing focus on Ireland’s medical device manufacturing sector. At the event, we will highlight our thermoforming, flow-wrap and automation capabilities, while also demonstrating our wider support for Irish customers across multiple food sectors.

We are pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at MedTech Innovation Expo Ireland for the first time, as we continue to strengthen our focus on Ireland’s growing medical device manufacturing sector.

Taking place at Dexcom Stadium in Galway, the exhibition brings together manufacturers, technology providers and supply chain specialists from one of Europe’s leading MedTech hubs. You can find us on stand 6.

Our debut at the show reflects our continued commitment to the Irish market, following the appointment of Rob McKenna as Regional Sales Manager for Ireland. As demand for advanced packaging solutions in the medical sector continues to grow, we will be highlighting technologies designed to meet strict requirements for product protection, traceability and hygiene.

Rob McKenna will be joined by Alastair Cook, Product Manager for Thermoforming and Traysealing. Together, they will be available throughout the event to discuss packaging applications and formats suited to medical device manufacturing environments.

At the exhibition, we will be focusing on our thermoforming and flow-wrap solutions, both of which are widely used in medical manufacturing thanks to their reliability, flexibility and ability to deliver consistent pack quality. Automation will also be a key part of our message, showing how integrated systems can help reduce human intervention during the packaging process while supporting product safety and regulatory compliance.

While full machinery will not be installed within the tabletop exhibition space, we will be presenting real packaging samples to demonstrate achievable pack designs and show how our solutions support the precise handling and protection required for medical applications.

Alongside our medical packaging expertise, we also continue to support customers across Ireland in a wide range of sectors, supplying vertical packaging and traysealing solutions for applications including meat, poultry, fish, dairy, snacks, confectionery and ready meals.
